Trauma in Retina is one of the nine volumes of the series Retina Atlas. This series provides global perspective on vitreoretinal diseases, covering imaging basics, retinal vascular disease, ocular inflammatory disease, retinal degeneration, surgical retina, macular disorders, ocular oncology, pediatric retina and trauma. Retina Atlas is spread over 9 volumes and about 100 chapters, covering validated and comprehensive information on retinal disorders.

Autoreninformationen

Eduardo Buchele Rodrigues is Affiliated Professor of Ophthalmology, Federal University of Sa~o Paulo. He graduated in medicine at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 1998. Prof. Buchele Rodrigues finished his doctoral and postdoctoral degrees at the Federal University of Sa~o Paulo. He has published around 160 scientific articles in international journals of impact such as Archives of Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, and Retina. He is one of the editors of the major international book on the use of medications in the treatment of retinal diseases, Retinal Pharmacotherapy, published in 2010. He is Co-Editor In-Chief of the International Journal of Retina and Vitreous. Conducted more than 250 paper presentations in national and international conferences, received 19 awards in congress by presenting work including the prestigious Paul Kayser Award of the Retina Research Foundation through the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology. He is a member of medical societies of the area as SBRV, PAAO, Club Jules Gonin, CBO, AAO, and SCO Euretina.
Carsten H Meyer III holds an M.D. degree and serves as a specialist in vitreoretinal diseases. He went to medical schools in Freiburg, Innsbruck, and Oxford and obtained his medical degree from the University of Munich, Munich, Germany. Dr. Meyer completed his residency at the University Eye Hospital, Luebeck, Germany, and in 1999 pursued a 2-year vitreoretinal research fellowship at the Duke Eye Center, Durham, NC. He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, Philipp-University, Marburg, as Professor in Department of Ophthalmology, University of Bonn. His main research interests include imaging vitreoretinal structures, retinal bear tracks, chromovitrectomy, and novel treatments in age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Meyer is an editorial board member of several ophthalmic journals and serves as a reviewer in more than 65 peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Meyer has published several book chapters, 240 articles in peer reviewed journals. He received the AAO Achievement Award (2008); holds membership in the Retina Society, Club Jules Gonin, EURETINA, Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft (DOG), Marquis Who's Who, ORBIS; and is a dedicated examiner in the panel of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO). Until 2018 he served the Department of Ophthalmology, Pallas Clinic, Aarau and became affiliated Professor at the Retina Department of the Federal University of Sao Paulo. He is the recipient of the Moacyr Álvaro Gold Medal 2018, one of the most important recognition awards in International Ophthalmology.

Eduardo Tomazoni is a medical doctor graduated from University of Joinville Region and ophthalmologist graduated at Governador Celso Ramos Hospital, in Florianópolis-SC, Brazil. He is currently working as a retina fellowship at Lumine Institute, Florianópolis-SC, Brazil. He is a member of the Brazilian Ophthalmology Society in 2019. He's also a reviewer in International Journal of Retina and Vitreous.
